It started with Barrywhite, an exceptionally intuitive lab mix. He convinced Christy Griner Hulsey, a UGA graduate and former advertising executive, to abandon the corporate life and dedicate herself fully to her true love: him. After living and working in St. Simons, Ga and spending a year exploring the Country's National Parks she returned to her roots to answer a higher calling - to marry a kindergarten friend, Brian Hulsey, and become a young entrepreneur in the burgeoning pet service industry. In 2003, she became the presiding officer of Southern Pet Sitters with the mission to strengthen the bond of animals and their humans and to make her dog proud.

Christy has established herself as a leading pet care professional with top-notch service, personal attention to detail, an infectious passion for pets, and a hunger to learn more. She is an Accredited Pet Sitting Technician, certified with the American Red Cross in Pet CPR & Pet First Aid, skilled in Pet Massage and a Pet Advisor for Petlane. Her work has been published in PSI and National Association of Pet Sitters magazines, Statesboro Magazine, Secrets of the South Savannah & Statesboro editions, The Islander, Eleventh Hour, The UGAzine, www.petmypet.net,and Dog & Kennel Magazine.
